Feminist Art Group initiated September 4, 2015 ...

The first action by the Feminist Art Group was Upstate Video Vignette Project 2015. The idea was to invite artists to film short vignettes of performance actions within a feminist lens with concepts created by the participating artists. Over the course of three days the artists collaborated ending the weekend with one final performance action.

The second action by the Feminist Art Group was Burning Woman. A concept created by the artist Adriana Magaña for the winter solstice. Jill McDermid  (Grace Exhibition Space and Rosekill) was proposed with this project and invited the group to build the The Burning Project. The artists collaboratively built the object then used arrows to set it on fire.

The third action by the Feminist Art Group was Upstate Video Vignette Project II 2016. This was the second vignette project over the course of three days at Rosekill where the artists created live action, vignette videos and collaboration.

The fourth action by the Feminist Art Group was the Knights of the Round Table conference at Grace Exhibition Space Brooklyn, NY April 2017. This event involved the roughly 30 invited artists over the course of two days to create work, host workshops, build objects and normalize co-working and collaboration with powerful, focused respectful artists. The below video, created by Nina Isabelle, is a documentation video of events and actions created during the evening performance and workshops.

The fifth action by the Feminist Art Group was for the Summer Festival hosted by Rosekill. The below video, created by Nina Isabelle is a documentation video by the artist of the in progress actions for the performance.

The sixth action will occur July 23rd 2017 2-4pm at Grace Exhibition Space for the Just Situations performance convention curated by Leili Huzaibah, Esther Neff, Kaia Gilje hosted by BIPAF

The seventh action will occur in Hurley, NY Sept. 2017 as a group workshop stay over woods adventure hiking and skills development . . .
